SCREEN PRINTing CLASS

SelfMade Designs is bringing back the love screen printing! With our new Screen Printing boutique we allow you to be apart of the process as much as you want. From an easy smooth client experience, in person print sessions and now screen printing classes. Our goal is to not only provide you with great prints but to help you understand the process too. What started out as one person in a small studio has now grown to a team that facilitates our Screen Printing Boutique as long as other local print shops. All this has been built on the love of screen printing. Our classes will give you foundational skills for screen printing as well as some other SelfMade Tips andTricks.

INSTRUCTOR! - Zach Achorn

Zach is the creator of SelfMade Designs. He began teaching himself how to screen print by watching YouTube videos back in 2014. His first print ever was the SUPPORT LOCAL ARTISTS design that is now the mission of SelfMade Designs. After a lot of trial and error he began not only printing SelfMade’s clothing but began to branch out and print others. After going through a lot of the headaches of producing his own clothing he wanted to be a service to help peoples process smoother in making their dreams and visions come to life. In 2017, Zach began doing live Screen Printing at events, schools and more. It was there where he saw that people really were intrigued by the screen printing process. As he began to do instructional sessions he realized there was still a lot for him to learn himself. In the Spring of 2019, he got an offer to work at ESP Solutions for a few months during their busy season. It was there Zach was able to bring his skill and knowledge to the next level by learning about high volume production not only for screen printing but embroidery and heat pressing. By the end of the Summer he had developed the idea for the screen printing boutique to create a whole new production experience.

THE SCREEN PRINTING CLASS INCLUDES:

  • Blank t-shirts (2) to print on (these are yours to keep, sizes vary)

  • SelfMade Designs screen printing handbook and materials for note taking

  • Certificate to Print (Must complete ALL 8 Lessons)

  • Most importantly, the skills and knowledge to progress in the industry

THIS CLASS IS FOR 16 YEARS OF AGE AND UP. NO MINORS YOUNGER THAN 16 YEARS OF AGE DUE TO SAFETY REQUIREMENTS AND LABOR LAWS.

THE SCREEN PRINTING CLASS COVERS:

  • Basic Artwork (Lesson 1)

  • Creating Screens (Lesson 2)

  • Registering Your Job (Lesson 3)

  • Screen Printing Techniques 1 (Lesson 4)

  • Screen Printing Techniques 2 (Lesson 5)

  • Job Clean-Up Techniques (Lesson 6)

  • Multi Color Printing (Lesson 7)

  • Different Types of Apparel Breakdown (Lesson 8)

Class Options

Each lesson takes an hour to fully cover. With that we understand completing all the lessons in one class session may be tough for some people to do. We offer different session options to make it easier.

  • 1 Hour Session = 1 Lesson ($80)

  • 2 Hour Session = 2 Lessons ($150)

  • 4 Hour Session = 4 Lessons ($250

  • 8 Hour Session = All 8 Lessons ($475)

CANCELLATION POLICY

Once you have paid for your class, refunds are not available. You must contact us no less than 24 hours in advance if you are unable to attend the class you signed up for, we are happy to assist you in rescheduling for a different class at that point. If you do not contact us 24 hours in advance you will be charged a re-booking fee of $50.
